Kulkiran Nakai (pronounced: Cuul-KEER-ren Nah-Khai; pronouns: they/them), Psy.D., is a fat, queer, neuroEMERGENT, first-gen Punjabi Sikh-American who is a guest and settler on the traditional land of the Anishinaabe people in Southeast Michigan. Kulkiran is an intersectional feminist, abolitionist, and liberation-focused licensed psychologist whose calling is to serve those with multi-marginalized identities who are navigating through and healing from systemic and complex trauma. They practice decolonized healing justice work with the use of somatic internal family systems, psychodramatic group methods, play practices, energy-work, and plant-medicines to help dismantle systems of oppression and facilitate transformation at inner-child, intergenerational, collective, and ancestral levels. Kulkiran is honored to protect the preciousness of life and help rebuild the world by supporting one’s journey towards wellness, sovereignty, and wholeness.
