Emmy (she/hers) is a cis bisexual white woman. She is experienced in working with survivors of sexual, domestic, and childhood violence, as well as parents in blended families, and postpartum parents. Emmy believes that processing how racism, sexism, classism and other oppressive systems influenced our trauma is essential to the healing process. She uses mindfulness, body work, trauma education, and art therapy techniques to help clients reclaim their bodies after trauma. Her practice is anchored in feminist, family systems, and polyvagal theories. Together with her clients, Emmy explores joy, movement, social justice, boundaries and creativity as ways to bring healing and light into their lives.

Emmy is a limited licensed clinical social worker. She holds a BA in women’s studies and psychology and an MSW from the University of Michigan. She has worked as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as a research assistant exploring the connection between domestic violence and PTSD, and as a private therapist. She looks forward to seeing you in her virtual office! (Emmy is exclusively seeing clients virtually at this time).
