Naturopathic Medicine at Integrative Empowerment Group
ABOUT NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
Naturopathic medicine is an ideal component of comprehensive integrative health care, and can help with a range of conditions including:
Mood complaints, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADD/HD
Digestive complaints, such as IBS, colitis, GERD, food intolerances
Hormonal imbalance or hormone-related issues
Thyroid and adrenal problems
Skin problems such as acne, eczema
Licensed naturopathic doctors are general practitioners specializing in natural medicine. Training is grounded in Western biomedical science, and integrates natural modalities including botanical medicine and nutrition. Naturopathic doctors specialize in evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine, bridging the worlds of conventional and holistic medicine and grounded in scientific research.
Naturopathic medicine works with the inherent healing power of the body, to identify and remove obstacles to wellness, and to support the body's healing capacity. The role of the naturopathic doctor is to identify root causes of illness and imbalance, provide education, and offer holistic options for care. Ultimately the aim is empowerment through agency in one's own health care.
The initial consultation is a 75 minute appointment, and follow up visits are typically one hour. For your first appointment, please bring with you any relevant medical records, medications and supplements you are currently taking, and completed patient intake paperwork. If needed, Dr. Quinn will coordinate care with the other members of your health care team (with your permission) such as therapist, psychiatrist, or other provider.

Dr. Quinn (she/her) is a board-certified naturopathic doctor and shamanic practitioner specializing in integrative mental health, endocrinology, and mind/body medicine. She has been in practice for over 12 years in the Ann Arbor and greater Detroit area. Her practice is trauma-informed with a healing justice lens, grounded in intersectional feminism. She seeks to provide safe space to those who have felt alienated within conventional medicine spaces including the LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, trauma survivors, differently abled folks, and people of size (as a HAES advocate). Dr. Quinn maintains a naturopathic license in the state of Vermont. Due to the lack of licensing naturopathic medicine in the state of Michigan, she is unable to provide primary care or accept insurance, but she offers a sliding scale in an effort to increase access to holistic medicine for those who seek it.
**Dr. Quinn sees clients at our location at 560 S. Main St. Ann Arbor, MI 48104
