What is Coaching?

Dr. Catherine Kwantes is a certified life wellness and career coach with ten years of coaching experience.  She holds a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a doctoral degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Her work has a focus on multiculturalism and its impact on life wellness and employment experiences.

  • Working with individuals to create and clarify clear developmental goals and forming effective strategies to reach those goals

  • Supporting individuals to navigate competing interests in life and creating plans to achieve balance

  • Assisting individuals in constructing approaches to successful workplace interactions and career planning

  • Various assessments related to individual goal setting and strategies for goal attainment are available. Speak to your coach for further information.

Coaching vs Therapy

  • Coaching and therapy are different. While therapy can focus on the past, present, and/-or future, coaching focuses on the present and moving forward. While coaching and therapy both focus on mental health, therapy focuses on becoming well while coaching focuses on maintaining wellness. Thus, coaching services are best suited for those feeling relatively stable, but looking for support in developing goals and creating effective strategies to reach those goals.

  • Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health issues, therefore services ARE NOT REIMBURSABLE by any insurance, Health Savings Account, or Flex Savings Account.

Cost for Services

  All coaching services are conducted virtually.

  • Free initial consultation (15 minutes)

  • Ongoing consultation (55-minute session) - $125

    • This option is best suited for those who wish a pay-as-you-go plan.

  • Short-term consultation (5-session package valid for two months) - $600

    • This option is best suited for those who wish to set up a longer series of sessions, and is paid 50% up front and 50% after two sessions.

  • Longer-term consultation plan (10-session package valid for six months) - $1100

    • This option is best suited for those who wish to set up a longer set of sessions, and is paid 50% up front and 50% after four sessions.
